Work related stress surveys, work related stress audits
and defining your well-being at work strategy

Are you assessing the current risks to your employees caused by work-related stress?

The assessment tools and methods we use are in-line with the recommendations of the UK Health & Safety Executive and the Management Standards outlined by C.I.P.D and all work is delivered by our qualified practitioners

The Challenge

Every employment organisation whether it be in the private, public or non-profit sector is having to do more or produce more, often with less resources, simply to sustain itself in a very challenging business and socio-economic landscape.

This pressure inevitably leads to increased stress and strain on employees, but how do you ensure that the health and well-being of your employees doesn't suffer?  How do you continue to balance a productive workplace with a healthy workplace?

Our Solutions

We provide two levels of service that will enable you to not only assess the levels of work-related stress in your organisation but also make recommendations for improvements along with an agreed action plan of how to implement those improvements over time.  We can also advise and support you in defining and implementing a well-being at work strategy.

The work-related stress survey

We can conduct a survey of your employees that not only incorporates the areas suggested by the UK Health & Safety Executive but we will tailor additional content to suit your organisation and its specific needs.

Our survey is conducted in a personable and supportive way by skilled practitioners and consists of a combination of online surveys, face to face interviews and/or focus groups within the organisation.

Using this approach means we're able to establish a very true and accurate measure of the levels of work-related stress in your organisation thus resulting in far more effective solutions to any identified problem areas.  This approach also helps us to identify and build upon areas of good practice.

What's more our survey is highly adaptable in its application, we can conduct the survey across the whole organisation, within individual apartments, at particular management levels or even specific teams tailored to meet your strategic and business objectives relating to well-being at work.

Work related stress audit

To further build upon the work-related stress survey we can also conduct a work-related stress audit.  In addition to the survey of employees we will examine management systems and procedures that may benefit from improvements that will in turn reduce some of the work-related stress hot-spots identified in the survey.

This might include areas such as; recruitment, job design, training and development, employee engagement, policies relating to well-being at work and health and safety and also look more closely at specific areas where employees are potentially subject to higher levels of stress such as dealing with complaints and the ongoing challenge of shift work.

The aim of the audit is, as with the survey, to conduct in a positive and supportive manner an assessment of work-related stress that could be harming productivity and efficiency as well as employee health and well-being.  Doing so not only tackles any current problems but provides the basis for minimising any future difficulties that stem from work-related stress.

Defining your well-being at work strategy

For a wide variety of important reasons workplace well-being is now of significant strategic importance.  Well-being in your workplace may be something that you incorporate throughout other policies, ensure is present in the design of procedures or is instrumental in your approach to health and safety at work.

If you would like to review your commitment to, or increase your understanding of well-being in your workplace then we can help you do just that, and in doing so help you define a distinct strategy with the sole purpose of creating and maintaining a healthy and productive workplace.
